Today I went to Galaxy Mall, one of malls in Surabaya, at Manyar. So I took the chance to try the new drink shop at there. It's because Galaxy Mall is quite far from my house.

There I bought 2 drinks. One is Taro Smoothie with Pudding and Classic Pearl Milk Black Tea.

The taro is very delicious and refreshing. You can the taste the unique flavor of taro and the smooth pudding which so match.

The classic pearl milk tea is also very good. It is very different from the other drink shop. It is also not so sweet, so it is suitable for those who are in diet, do not like sweet, or who avoiding to consume sweet things.

I recommend all of you to buy at SHARE TEA. It is located at Galaxy Mall, at the 4th floor near Din Tai Fung Restaurant.

Well actually we've planned to post this entry since the heat of Euro Cup semifinals and finals burn our football hearts.
What are you going to do if you got a lot of friends coming to your house to watch the football party together with you?
Oh well, you'll need to buy them a lot of snack, and the only place that still take orders at 3am in the morning is the fast food franchise.
And if you still get some time before the game is started, you can try to pile your snacks in very artistic ways.
Last but not least, may the force be with your favourite team xD

We know that while we are eating there are some traditions or attitudes that we have to pay attention especially when we are in foreign country..
Now, lets start with our own country, INDONESIA :)

Number One..
Indonesians always eat with a spoon and fork, sometimes with hands. Spoon in the right hand and fork in the left hand.

Number two..
You must wait for the host to offer you eat or drink before you do it.

Number three..
Both of your hands must be kept on the table while eating.

Number four..
The one who invited to the eating is paying for the meal.

Number five..
After the meal you must thank to the host and the hostess.

Panna Cotta...

Mmmm, maybe this dish sounds familiar but you forgot what it looks like..

Maybe you are wondering what is panna cotta?

Panna Cotta is one of the Italian dessert.
It's a type of a pudding.

It's originally came from the Northern Italian region of Piedmont
It is eaten all over Italy..
Sometimes, it is served with berries, caramel, chocolate sauce, etc..

It's not known exactly when and how Panna Cotta is created
Some theories said that cream, from which mountainous Northern Italy is famous, was historically eaten plain.

The old recipes used boiled fish bones in place of gelatin, sugar, later a main ingredient, wouldn't have been available anymore because it was an expensive imported commodity.

Now, it is made by simmering together cream, milk, and sugar, mixing this with gelatin, and letting it cool until it is done.
It is flavoured with vanilla and toped with fruit or sauces and served chilled.

Many people of Surabaya like to go there to taste its fried kwetiau..
The fried kwetiau is the best dish..

If you go there on the weekend or on holiday at around 6.30 pm above, you will find there are many people lined up in front of the restaurant.
It always full of people..

Sapo Tahu is one the best Chinese Food. It's contained tofu, carrot, shrimp, squid, mushroom, chicken or pork or beef, brocolli, and added with tasty gravy :9

IKAN ASAM MANIS

Ikan Asam Manis is sweet, sour, and delicious especially the crispy fish. It is contained gurame fish, sweet sour sauce, carrot, and beans.

AYAM MASAK LEMON

Ayam masak lemon tastes a little bit sour, but the outside of the chicken tastes really good. It's contained chicken, lemon, and sour sauce.

HAINAN JIFAN

Hainan Jifan tastes very good escpecially the hainan rice. It's contained steam chicken or roast chicken served with hainan rice and a bowl of soup. You must eat this with hainan rice,

SUP SIRIP IKAN HIU a.k.a SUP HISIT

This soup tastes good. It's really expensive. It's contained shark fin, chicken, chicken stalk, and other spices. I think we shouldn't eat this. The sharks become rare because people catch them to get the fin. We must care about the animals in the sea.

Who DOESN'T love ice cream?!

I think there is no one who doesn't like it (especially for them who has allergic of milk or other ingredients)

Yes, I'm now talking about my favourite boyfriend. Stacks of pancake! :D
This is from a lovely Australian Cuisine Restaurant called the ROCKS
JUst like its name, it really rocks! Both my world and my mouth :D

This pancake menu is called original pancakes, thick pancakes, strawberries, flood of maple syrup, butter, vanilla ice cream and the sweet icing sugar :D

This is what keeps me smiling while writing. The serving was so perfect. On a wide white plate, with warm maple syrup and the soft textured pancakes. Don't forget the sweet and milky ice cream :D

And there will always be another menus. This is my another affair partner. -geplaked-
Chili Baby Octopus with Mashed potato. At first glance, it was so ordinary that I even doubted how come octopus babies cooked with chili-based sauce?
But the first impression never guarantee anything. I tried a bit and fall in love with it :D the spicy sauce makes the baby octopus tastier and less boring and not fishy at all :D
The serving was so neat that the sweet babies are covered under the fried shallot slices and lettuce. SO here's a clearer view of them

And this is my last boyfriend -STOP MENTIONING THAT WORD WOULD YOU?!-

It's Called Creamy Fish. Why Creamy Fish? To be honest, the authoress knows NOTHING at all. So, maybe that's because they have mayonnaise and milk based cream under the food piles. The creamy fish itself is a dory fish. Its texture was so soft that the cooker needs to be very careful not to tore them into pieces. But my favorite part from this menu is: Creamy Fish is grilled, and it has lots of vegetables with mashed potato so that I don't have to choose between health or a delicious meal. It's Fish, grilled, vegetables everywhere, stomach-fulfilling mashed potato is also there. hehe.

The Lovely Second is Strawberry Shortcake
They added royal amounts of strawberry sauce and sweet cheese bites. It tastes almost like the cake itself.

LET'S BEGIN!!!

1. Approximately 80% of the world’s bluefin tuna catch is used for sushi.

2. Why is ginger is served with Sushi?

Traditionally, ginger (gari) was served with sushi as it will cleanse the palate when eaten between different kinds of sushi. Ginger also has minor anti-microbial properties and it is thought that eating it with raw food can assist in the prevention of sickness if there is any contamination of the product. Wasabi also exhibits similar characteristics and for that reason, both have stuck as an accompaniment to sushi.

3. Like a samurai, the blade of a professional sushi chef’s knives must be re-sharpened every day. This is especially important when working with sashimi – raw, thinly sliced fish.

4. Sushi lovers looking for something new? A rare delicacy indeed is sashimi made from the deadly puffer fish, called fugu sashi.

5. In Japanese food terminology, the word “sushi’ actually refers to vinegar rice, and not fish, while the word “sashimi” means pierced flesh.

Except if it was made impersonating a hot young girl.

okay, since I'm not writing this to be bricked, I'll start the blog entry right now.

You can google the Japanese word for "beautiful". Beautiful in Japanese is Suteki.

Sounds familiar, eh?

Yes it is. Suteki is a quite famous sushi shop, especially in Surabaya. You can find it anywhere, in almost every mall. But surprisingly this Suteki doesn't mean "Beautiful"

It's an subliminal acronym that stands for Sushi Take Away

....

Kind of "mekso" zzz...

Okay, I'm back.

But here are the nice sides of Suteki, you can take it home, the price is affordable, the menu is quite nice and impressive and they are delicious too! :)

Here are some recommended menus from us.

First, is sandwich sushi. Chicken Teriyaki Sushi to be exact. Enjoying sushi in the form of sandwich. Sounds nice *authoress is silently salivating*

And for the drink, you'd be pleased with their Miruku or Milk with jellies :D (sorry for the super tiny image.. we couldn't find the proper picture of it yet ==)

Last but not least, is their salad. The price is cheaper than most japanese restaurant, and the taste is not disappointing :D
